Job Description

This is a remote position.

An art teacher is responsible for providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and create art. This may include teaching students about different art styles, techniques, and mediums, as well as providing guidance and feedback on their work.

Some specific responsibilities of an art teacher include:

• Planning and developing lessons on art in accordance with students\' learning objectives.

• Demonstrating techniques and providing individualized instruction to students.

• Deliver lectures to students on art, art techniques, art history and aesthetics.

• Assessing student progress and providing feedback on their work.

• Collaborating with other teachers to integrate art into other subjects.

• Participating in professional development opportunities to stay current on teaching methods and best practices.

• Advising students on portfolio development and preparing them for art-related career opportunities.

• Collaborating with parents and guardians to support student learning and progress.

• Recording and reporting on students\' progress.

You will be teaching students of all ages, from elementary school to high school and beyond.

Requirements

• Prior experience as an art teacher.

• Should have a strong passion for art and a desire to inspire and nurture the creativity of students.

• Demonstrated excellence in a variety of art techniques.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity to supervise group work.

• Supportive, flexible disposition.

• Be patient, organized, and able to adapt their teaching style to meet the needs of individual students.
