Art Director - Mobile Shooter
Location: Remote or Open to Relocation (Bangalore, India)
Work Schedule: Full-time (Flexible workflow)
A fast-paced game studio is hiring an Art Director to lead the visual development of an upcoming mobile shooter. This is a key leadership role responsible for defining and maintaining the game's art direction, managing pipelines, and guiding the art team across environments, characters, UI, VFX, and marketing visuals.
This role offers flexibility in both location and workflow, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, quality, and creative ownership.
What You'll Be Doing

• Set and maintain the game's overall visual style, ensuring consistency and clarity across all art assets
• Guide and collaborate with teams on environment, character, UI, VFX, and animation art
• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of in-house and external artists
• Oversee the full art pipeline from concept through integration, ensuring assets meet both creative and technical requirements
• Partner closely with game design and engineering to ensure visuals support gameplay readability and performance
• Own documentation, asset tracking, and feedback workflows to keep production smooth and aligned

• 8+ years in game art, with experience as an Art Director, Lead Artist, or Senior Concept Artist
• Strong eye for composition, color, lighting, and stylized visual design
• Solid leadership background, with experience managing teams and mentoring artists
• Proven ability to lead across multiple disciplines including 3D environments, characters, UI, and VFX
• Comfortable working in Unity or Unreal, with a practical understanding of art pipelines, shaders, LODs, and performance optimization
• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering and design to bring gameplay and visuals together

• Experience working on shooter or action games, particularly mobile
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for design or asset creation
• Background working with remote or distributed teams
