Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum & Instruction:

Develop and implement engaging art lessons, teach fundamental concepts (color theory, perspective), demonstrate techniques (drawing, painting, clay), and explain proper, safe use of tools and materials.

Student Development:

Inspire creativity, encourage self-expression, build confidence, and guide students to appreciate diverse art forms and cultures.

Classroom Management:

Maintain an organized, well-stocked art room, manage inventory, and ensure a safe workspace.

Assessment & Reporting:

Grade assignments, provide constructive feedback, conduct exams, and track student progress.

Exhibitions & Events:

Plan and set up art displays, organize school art shows, and prepare student work for competitions or cultural programs.

Collaboration:

Work with other teachers to integrate art into other subjects, attend parent-teacher meetings, and participate in school activities.
Essential Skills & Qualities:

Strong knowledge of various art mediums and techniques. Excellent communication and motivational skills. Patience, creativity, and ability to provide individualized attention. Organizational skills for managing supplies and projects. Understanding of art history and different artistic traditions.
