Area Sales Manager (ASM) - Generic Pharma
Location: Ahmedabad, Gujrat

Reports To: Regional Sales Manager / Zonal Sales Head
Job Purpose:
Lead and manage a team of Medical Representatives to achieve sales targets, expand market presence, and enhance brand visibility while ensuring compliance with company policies and ethical standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Management
Achieve monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
Monitor primary and secondary sales.
Plan and execute area-wise sales strategies and brand promotions.
Drive effective doctor engagement.
2. Team Management
Recruit, train, and mentor MRs.
Conduct joint fieldwork and performance reviews.
Motivate team and ensure proper reporting/CRM usage.
3. Market Development
Identify new business opportunities and customer segments.
Build relationships with doctors, hospitals, distributors, and stockists.
Track competitor activities and market trends.
Conduct CMEs, doctor meets, and promotional events.
4. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure ethical product promotion per pharma code.
Submit accurate reports, forecasts, and market insights.
Ensure team adherence to SOPs and regulatory norms.

Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Science/Pharmacy/Commerce (MBA preferred)
5-8 years of pharma sales experience, including 2+ years in management
Strong therapy-area knowledge

Proficient in MS Office & CRM tools
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
