We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to develop partnerships with retail and distribution channels. The ideal candidate shall have 5-8 years of hands-on experience of similar role, understanding of local market and existing distribution models within hardware, electronic, electricals and kitchenware verticals. You will play a key role in driving the sales across assigned territory by extensive travels to manage business volumes.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve regional sales, market share, and revenue targets.
Drive distributor and retail network expansion across districts.
Ensure strong product penetration and activation in existing and new districts.
Manage distributors, dealers, and retail partners--onboarding, performance, compliance.
Implement trade schemes, promotions, and incentive programs to boost sell-in and sell-out.
Resolve channel conflicts, credit issues, and ensure smooth operations.
Enhance performance through hiring, training, tracking.
Conduct weekly/monthly business reviews with teams and partners.
Lead demand forecasting, inventory planning, and sales reporting.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field.
Preferred Skills
Demonstrated experience of team leadership in building a performance driven team
5-8 years of experience in distribution and channel management.
Strong personality to deal with local traders and distributors for market penetration and building new partnerships
Knowledge of local language Kumano / Gadhwali along with Hindi and English (at least one)
