job Description: Area Sales Manager - Auto Parts / Mobil Oil Role Overview



The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by managing and expanding the distributor/dealer network, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring strong customer relationships. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Marketing) to achieve revenue and profitability goals.

Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & Execution



Develop and execute regional sales plans as per business targets. Identify and acquire new distributors, retailers, and business accounts. Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for auto parts and lubricants.

2. Channel / Distributor Management



Manage and support existing distributors/dealers; track performance and sales growth. Appoint new distributors based on territory potential. Provide product training, sales guidance, and support for target achievement.

3. Customer Relationship Management



Build strong relationships with fleet owners, garages, service centers, and key B2B customers. Address customer concerns, technical queries, and ensure successful issue resolution.

4. Market Intelligence & Competition Tracking



Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and new product offerings. Share timely insights with management to refine sales strategies.

5. Team Leadership (If Applicable)



Lead and mentor field sales representatives. Conduct performance reviews, training, and continuous coaching.

6. Aftermarket / Service Collaboration



Coordinate with service teams to increase parts and lubricant demand. Develop customer retention and parts-based service programs.

7. Compliance & Process Management



Ensure adherence to sales processes, contracts, reporting, and customer follow-ups. Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecasts, and pipeline.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong knowledge of automotive spare parts / lubricants (OEM or aftermarket). Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer-handling skills. Proficiency in sales planning, forecasting, and data interpretation. Strong relationship-building ability with distributors and B2B customers. Team leadership and mentoring abilities.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical/Automotive Engineering. MBA in Marketing/Sales preferred. 5-10 years of sales experience in auto parts, lubricants, or aftermarket. Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing distributor networks. Experience with inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination.

Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis

Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing to adapt sales strategies. Provide regular feedback to senior management on market developments. .

Team Leadership

Lead and motivate a small local sales team (if applicable) or work with field sales reps. Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and mentoring.

Aftermarket / Service Collaboration

Coordinate with after-sales or service teams to drive parts uptake in repair / service workflows. Develop parts-based propositions to increase customer loyalty and recurring business.

Compliance & Process Management

Maintain high standards in sales process, contract management, and customer follow-ups.

Qualifications & Experience



Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Mechanical / Automotive Engineering or related field. Preferably an MBA (Marketing / Sales) or relevant advanced degree.

Experience:

Typically 5-10 years in sales in automotive / auto components / aftermarket, with experience in channel management / distributor sales. Proven track record of meeting / exceeding sales targets. Experience in working with inventory management, demand forecasting, and supply chain coordination.

Pay: ?23,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
