The Area Sales Manager (Rice) is responsible for overseeing sales operations, distributor management, and market development for rice products in a designated territory. This role involves strategic planning, team leadership, and driving revenue growth through both general trade and modern trade channels.
Roles and Responsibility:
1.Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area sales targets for rice products.
2. Manage distributor and dealer networks, ensuring stock availability and timely replenishment.
3. Build strong relationships with wholesalers, retailers, and key B2B customers.
4. lead and monitor a field sales team with performance tracking.
5. Drive market expansion and new customer acquisition.
6. Conduct market visits to gather competitor insights and customer feedback.
7.Coordinate with production and logistics for timely dispatch.
8. Prepare monthly sales reports and forecasts.
9.Ensure payment collections and credit control as per policy.
10.participate in trade fairs and promotional campaigns.
Qualifications:
Graduate / Postgraduate in Business, Agriculture, or related field.
5-10 years of relevant experience in rice/grain/FMCG sales.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
