Looking for Area Sales Manager, Modern Trade for leading MNC FMCG Company, Hyderabad.
POSITION : Area Sales Manager, Modern Trade
REPORTS TO : MT Head
Location : Hyderabad
A. KEY PURPOSE :
- This position is responsible for handling business in the specified geography in the Modern Trade.
- Maintaining relationships with key accounts at a regional level in order to achieve top line and bottom line plans for the organization.
- Planning and executing key business strategies with the objective of achieving excellence in execution and higher growth with Key accounts in the specified geography
B. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Leading and mentoring team of Key account executives to ensure execution excellence and business plan- achievement
2. Building long term relationships with strategic partners and negotiating favorable terms of trade with them.
3. Executing trade marketing and trade promotion interventions in line with the modern trade sales strategy and overall business strategy.
4. Developing category management strategies to enhance selling effectiveness.
5. Driving breakthrough visibility for our categories through formulating future ready merchandising and planogramming strategies.
6. Formulating effective sales policies and procedures specific to the modern trade channel.-
7. Achieving planned sales by channel and customer.-
8. Ensuring effective spends in driving sales and strengthening our brands.-
9. Creating strategies and making recommendation in driving strategic brand sales-
10. Launching new products as per plan within allocated budgets/ resources-
C. KEY INTERFACES:
Internal:
- With Central Modern Trade Team ; KAMS, TMMS and Head of Modern Trade and Head of eCommerce
- With Operations ; S&OP planning, logistics, stock levels etc.
- With Marketing ; brand related plans, execution plans and inputs
- With Regional finance; for chain specific inputs and profitability plans
External:
- Regional Heads/ Regional Decision Makers of Modern Format Stores
- CFAs
- Consumers
- External manpower agencies
D. INCUMBENT PROFILE:
Minimum qualification:
- MBA in Marketing from a reputed B-School , with 3-5 years of experience; compulsory Modern Trade channel experience and leadership experience.
- Strong business acumen, strategic thinking and analytical rigor
- Excellent negotiation, communication & people management skills
