Hiring for a The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for driving
revenue growth, channel expansion, and market penetration
within the assigned territory for Mitsumi Distribution. The role focuses on managing
IT channel partners
, achieving vendor targets, and strengthening Mitsumi's footprint across enterprise, SMB, and commercial segments.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Revenue Management
Achieve assigned
monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets
across Mitsumi's product portfolio.
Drive business growth through
resellers, system integrators, VARs, and retail partners
.
Execute territory sales plans aligned with company and vendor objectives.
Identify new business opportunities and expand wallet share with existing partners.
Channel Partner Development
Recruit, onboard, and enable new channel partners within the territory.
Manage existing partners through regular business reviews, joint planning, and performance tracking.
Ensure proper
product positioning, pricing discipline, and stock rotation
at partner level.
Work closely with vendors on promotions, schemes, and partner incentive programs.
Market & Territory Coverage
Conduct regular field visits to partners and key customers.
Map the territory for
white spaces, competition analysis, and growth opportunities
.
Gather market intelligence on pricing, competitor activity, and customer demand trends.
Forecasting & Reporting
Maintain accurate
sales forecasts, pipelines, and MIS reports
.
Track KPIs such as revenue, margins, partner productivity, and collections.
Ensure timely reporting to management and alignment with finance and supply chain teams.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of
IT distribution and channel sales models
.
Proven ability to manage and grow
reseller and SI ecosystems
.
Excellent
relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills
.
Strong analytical skills for forecasting and sales planning.
High ownership mindset with the ability to work independently in the field.
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
6-10 years of experience in
IT / technology distribution sales
.
Exposure to products such as
laptops, desktops, servers, peripherals, networking, or enterprise solutions
.
Experience working with national or regional IT distributors is highly desirable.
