Job Summary
We're looking for a driven and experienced
Area Sales Manager
to expand the reach of our animal feed products throughout Punjab. Based out of our Panipat office, you'll be responsible for boosting sales, managing our distributor network, and finding new market opportunities in the region. This role is crucial for achieving sales targets and building strong, lasting customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve ambitious sales targets for animal feed products across Punjab.
Network Management:
Recruit new distributors and strengthen relationships with existing ones, ensuring a robust and efficient distribution network.
Market Coverage:
Conduct regular field visits to distributors, retailers, and farmers to assess sales performance, provide support, and identify challenges.
Market Intelligence:
Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs, reporting insights back to the management team.
Customer Relationships:
Build and maintain excellent rapport with livestock farmers and agricultural stakeholders, providing product information and technical support.
Reporting:
Prepare comprehensive sales reports and submit them to senior management on a timely basis.
Promotional Activities:
Plan and coordinate sales promotion activities and field events to enhance brand visibility and product adoption.
Collections:
Ensure the timely collection of payments and management of outstanding dues from the sales network.
Required Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of proven sales experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the animal feed, FMCG, or agricultural product sales sectors.
Local Knowledge:
Good understanding of Punjab's geography, agricultural practices, and market dynamics. Willingness to travel extensively within the state.
Skills:
Excellent sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
Drive:
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and possess a strong desire to succeed.
Language:
Proficient in Punjabi, Hindi, and English (both written and spoken).
Education:
A Bachelor's degree is required.
Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with computer operations, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Mobility:
Must possess a two-wheeler or four-wheeler and a valid driving license.
