Role Overview

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving primary and secondary sales across the Trivandrum territory, managing distributors, expanding retail coverage, and ensuring consistent volume growth in FMCG food categories.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end sales operations for the assigned area (Trivandrum).

Achieve monthly and annual sales targets (primary & secondary).

Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors and sales executives.

Drive numeric and weighted distribution across GT outlets.

Execute trade schemes, promotions, and visibility initiatives.

Monitor distributor stock, billing, and collections.

Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and pricing.

Ensure effective route planning and beat optimization.

Coordinate with marketing and supply chain teams for demand planning.

Candidate Profile

5-10 years of FMCG sales experience.

Mandatory background in Dairy / Ice Cream / Beverages / Edible Oil / Milk.

Hands-on experience handling distributors and field sales teams.

Strong exposure to General Trade (GT).

Local market knowledge of Trivandrum is a strong advantage.

Comfortable with field-intensive roles.

Graduate in any discipline.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ?800,000.00 per year
