Job Description

An area sales manager is responsible for achieving sales targets within a specific region by leading and motivating a team of sales representatives. The role also involves training, coaching, and reporting on sales figures to senior management. Key responsibilities

Develop and implement sales strategies:

Create and execute plans to meet sales goals and increase market share in the assigned area.

Manage and motivate a sales team:

Set individual and team targets, monitor performance, and provide coaching and training to help the team succeed.

Build and maintain customer relationships:

Foster strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients and customers.

Analyze market and performance:

Review sales data, analyze market trends, and identify new opportunities for growth. This includes addressing underperforming areas.

Recruit and train staff:

Hire new sales representatives and provide them with the necessary training to be successful.

Report to senior management:

Compile and present regular reports on sales figures, team performance, and market insights.
Required skills and qualifications

Education:

A bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, communications, or a related field is typically required. An MBA may be preferred for some positions.

Experience:

Proven sales experience is essential, with a track record of meeting sales quotas. Previous management experience is often necessary.

Leadership and management:
