We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Area Sales Manager (ASM) to join our growing team in the building materials industry. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in sales of flooring products, especially wooden flooring, plywood, laminates, and other wood-based solutions. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence within the assigned territory.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Business Development:
Drive primary and secondary sales of flooring and wood-based products across dealers, distributors, architects, interior designers, and project sites. * Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the ecosystem including channel partners, contractors, builders, and influencers. * Channel Expansion:
Identify and onboard new dealers/distributors in line with business goals and provide them with adequate training and support. * Product Promotion:
Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and technical superiority of our wooden flooring, ply, and wood products. * Market Mapping:
Conduct thorough market research to understand competitors, pricing strategies, customer preferences, and identify new business opportunities. * Sales Target Achievement:
Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set for the assigned territory. * Customer Feedback & Service:
Ensure timely resolution of customer issues, collect market feedback, and share insights with the product and marketing teams. * Reporting & Documentation:
Maintain accurate sales records, track leads, provide regular updates through CRM or other reporting tools.
Key Skills & Requirements:
  • Proven Sales Experience:
2-6 years of hands-on sales experience in wooden flooring, ply, laminates, veneers, or related interior/building materials. * Industry Knowledge:
Strong understanding of product applications, industry trends, and customer behavior in the flooring and wood segment. * Territory Management:
Ability to manage a geographical area effectively, travel extensively within the territory, and build strong local networks. * Negotiation & Communication:
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to close deals and build long-term relationships. * Self-Motivated & Target-Oriented:
Goal-driven with a passion for sales and a strong sense of ownership to drive performance. * Educational Qualification:
Graduate in any discipline; MBA in Sales/Marketing is a plus.
