Job Description

We are hiring an Area Sales Manager for our client, who must have a minimum of 6 to 7 years of sales experience in the hotel and resort sector in Puri, Odisha.

An Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Hotels/Resorts drives regional revenue by leading a sales team, developing strategic plans, managing key accounts (corporate, group, events), analyzing market trends, and coordinating with operations to exceed sales targets, focusing on brand awareness, profit, and client retention through proactive solicitation, digital marketing, and strong negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Revenue Generation



Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue, occupancy, and profit goals for multiple properties. Analyze market dynamics, competitor pricing, and economic trends to position properties effectively. Identify new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and cold-calling. Sell all hotel services, including rooms, events, catering, and amenities.

Client & Account Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with key corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners. Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring they align with hotel parameters. Manage client accounts and ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and repeat bookings.

Team Leadership & Development



Lead, motivate, and train a regional sales team. Set sales targets, track performance, and provide regular feedback. Foster a positive and productive sales environment.

Operations & Reporting



Coordinate closely with Revenue, Marketing, Operations, and other hotel departments. Create and maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and account files. Manage budgets and utilize sales & marketing resources effectively.

Marketing & Market Presence



Utilize direct sales, social media, PR, and telemarketing to drive business. Attend trade shows, conventions, and community events as needed.

Essential Skills



Leadership, Negotiation, Communication, Time Management, Problem-Solving, Market Analysis, and strong CRM (Customer Relationship Management) skills.
