Position: Commercial Director (CD) Sales Manager - Cold Chain
Industry, India (Ahmedabad)
Role Overview
The Sales Manager / Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding
CCT's presence in the Ahmedabad and Gujarat region, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical, life sciences, and
cold chain logistics customers.
The role involves developing new business, managing key accounts, and working closely with internal teams to
deliver customized cold chain solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.
The Commercial Director will be responsible for developing and executing revenue strategies n the
pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences cold chain industry by providing optimal solutions while maximizing
profitability and market share. The CD will report directly to the India Country Leader and be part of the
executive leadership team. The sales and customer success teams will report into the Commercial Director role.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
? Drive profitable revenue growth in the assigned territory (Ahmedabad & Gujarat region).
? Identify and develop new business opportunities with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech
companies, CROs, logistics providers, and freight forwarders.
? Promote CCT's portfolio of thermal packaging, reusable solutions, and digital cold chain technologies.
? Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, revenue goals, and margin objectives.
Key Account Management
? Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and decision-makers.
? Manage enterprise and regional accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business.
? Lead commercial negotiations, pricing discussions, and contract closures in line with company
guidelines.
Market Development
? Strengthen CCT's footprint in pharma clusters such as Ahmedabad, Baroda, Ankleshwar, Vapi, and
nearby industrial hubs.
? Track market trends, competitor activities, and customer need to identify growth opportunities.
? Support expansion into emerging pharma and life sciences zones within the region.
Customer Collaboration & Solutions
? Work closely with operations, customer success, and technical teams to ensure seamless onboarding and
service delivery.
? Understand customer cold chain challenges and propose compliant, cost-effective, and innovative
solutions.
? Support implementation of digital monitoring solutions for improved cold chain visibility and
performance.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
? Collaborate with marketing on local campaigns, customer events, and brand-building initiatives.
? Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to leadership.
? Ensure adherence to internal processes, compliance standards, and reporting requirements.
? Profitable Revenue Strategy & Growth
o Design and implement revenue-generation strategies tailored to India's Pharmaceutical and Life
Sciences cold chain packaging needs.
o Develop pricing models and service packages that balance competitiveness with profitability.
o Leverage Cold Chain technologies, broad portfolio of solutions and services to create a
differentiated offering for the customers in India.
o Drive strong penetration in all large pharma, logistics providers and freight forwarders
? Sales Leadership
o Build and lead a high-performing sales team.
o Drive enterprise-level contracts with pharma and Life Science customers.
o Negotiate long-term partnerships with full-service logistics providers such as DHL, FEDEX etc.
? Expand into subsidized zone for Pharma and Life Science sectors such as Baddi, Vishakapatnam, Goa
etc.
? Collaborate with government and industry bodies to leverage subsidies and incentives.
Customer Success & Retention
? Ensure seamless client onboarding and service delivery. Build in-house customer Onboarding capability
? Establish KPIs for customer satisfaction, retention, and upselling.
? Integrate digital solutions for clients to monitor cold chain performance.
CD-Functional Collaboration
? Align product development, operations, and technology with revenue goals.
? Partner with finance to forecast revenue and manage budgets.
? Work closely with operations to ensure service reliability and compliance.
? Work with Marketing to develop promotional campaigns, tools, segment based promotional strategies to
build the CCT Brand in India as a market and innovation leader.
Required Qualifications
6-10 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in pharma logistics, cold chain, supply chain, or packaging
solutions.15+ years of experience in sales, revenue management, or business development in pharma
logistics, supply chain, or cold chain industries.

? Strong understanding of pharmaceutical supply chains, temperature-controlled logistics, and compliance
requirements.
? Proven ability to build relationships, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
? Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
? Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field.
? MBA or equivalent qualification is preferred.
? Proven track record of scaling revenue in India's B2B environment.
? Strong understanding of temperature-controlled logistics, warehousing, and regulatory compliance.
? Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
? Preferable: MBA or equivalent degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field.
Preferred Attributes
? Experience working with pharma manufacturers, logistics service providers, and freight forwarders.
? Familiarity with cold chain packaging solutions and digital monitoring technologies.
? Strong market knowledge of Gujarat's pharmaceutical ecosystem.
? Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven and customer-centric approach.
? Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as per the business need
Experience working with Pharma and Life Science supply chains logistics.
Familiarity with digital cold chain monitoring technologies
