About the Role: Paytm is looking for an experienced Sales Leader & People Manager to drive the Merchant Lending business across the assigned region. The role involves scaling merchant loan penetration, strengthening underwriting funnel quality, and unlocking incremental revenue through strategic cross-sell initiatives.
Expectations/ Requirements:
1. Grow Merchant Lending penetration and overall credit distribution in the assigned geography.
2. ?Drive visibility & deployment of lending products-Merchant Loans, BNPL, QR-linked credit, overdraft lines, etc.
3. ?Lead cross-sell of financial products like Gold SIP, Insurance, and other merchant financial tools to enhance merchant stickiness and revenue-per-merchant.
4. ?Identify, recruit, and manage a strong field sales team to accelerate lending acquisition and cross-sell outputs.
5. ?Define market size, span, funnel metrics, and territories for Team Leads to maximise efficiency.
6. ?Ensure seamless communication of plans/targets, minimising expectation vs delivery gaps.
7. ?Monitor and improve portfolio quality metrics-repayment behaviour, fraud checks, documentation hygiene, and onboarding quality.
8. ?Conduct audits and validations on loan files, sales processes, and cross-sell adherence.
9. ?Lead and mentor a large on-ground structure of 5-10 Team Leads & 100+ indirect employees, ensuring high productivity and compliance.
