Job Purpose
:
To drive sales and market expansion for Ayurvedic products within the assigned geographical area by managing a team of sales representatives/distributors, increasing market penetration, and ensuring the achievement of sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
:
Sales & Revenue Generation
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Ayurvedic product lines.
Drive primary and secondary sales in assigned territory.
Monitor distributor and retailer performance.
Market Development
Identify new market opportunities and initiate business development activities.
Expand retail footprint and increase product availability and visibility.
Conduct regular market visits and competitor analysis.
Team Management
Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers / Medical Representatives.
Assign targets, review performance, and motivate the team for optimal results.
Conduct sales meetings, training sessions, and field visits.
Channel & Distribution Management
Appoint and manage stockiest, distributors, and retail partners.
Ensure proper distribution coverage, inventory management, and product placement.
Resolve distributor/retailer grievances in a timely manner.
Promotional Activities
Execute marketing and promotional campaigns at the ground level.
Organize in-store promotions, doctor tie-ups, health camps, etc.
Collaborate with marketing teams to support brand-building activities.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and market feedback reports.
Track KPIs such as sales volume, growth rates, market share, etc.
Use CRM or sales tracking tools effectively.
Qualifications & Requirements
:
Education
: Bachelor's degree (preferably in Ayurveda, Life Sciences, Pharma, or Business). MBA is a plus.
Experience
: 4-8 years in FMCG/Pharma/Ayurvedic product sales; minimum 2 years in a team handling role.
Knowledge
: Strong understanding of Ayurvedic product range and customer profiles (retailers, practitioners, distributors).

Preferred Candidates
:
Experience in Ayurvedic/Herbal product sales preferred.
Familiarity with regional language(s) and local market dynamics.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned area.
