Area Sales Manager - Dealer Sales (Mahindra Gensets)

We are hiring an experienced

Area Sales Manager - Dealer Sales

to manage and expand the dealer network for our

Mahindra Gensets

business. This role will focus on

channel sales, dealer development, market expansion, and revenue growth

in the assigned territory.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in

dealer-driven B2B sales

, preferably in

diesel generators, power solutions, or industrial products

.

Key Responsibilities



Dealer & Distributor Network Management



Identify, onboard, and develop new dealers and distributors Strengthen relationships with existing channel partners Conduct dealer training on product, sales process, and service guidelines

Sales Target Achievement & Growth



Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets Implement dealer incentive schemes and promotions Track sales trends and competitor activities

Market Expansion & Business Development



Identify new territories, dealer prospects, and growth opportunities Conduct market research and competitor analysis Work with marketing teams on dealer engagement and lead generation

Pricing, Negotiation & Order Management



Ensure competitive pricing while protecting margins Negotiate commercial terms, bulk orders, and payment terms Coordinate with supply chain and logistics for timely deliveries

Customer Support & Service Coordination



Work with service teams to ensure smooth after-sales support Handle dealer issues, warranty claims, and technical escalations

Reporting & Sales Analysis



Maintain dealer data, sales reports, and CRM records Provide regular sales forecasts and performance updates

Key Requirements



Bachelor's or Master's degree in

Business, Sales, or Engineering

5+ years

of experience in

dealer / channel sales

Experience in

gensets, power solutions, acoustics, or industrial products

preferred Strong knowledge of

dealer distribution models

Excellent

negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills

Proficient in

CRM tools, MS Office, and sales reporting

Willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory

Preferred Skills



Experience selling

diesel generators or industrial equipment

Knowledge of

ISO standards, CPCB norms, and dealer financing models

Ability to drive

dealer engagement, marketing programs, and retail promotions


Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
