Alfa Laval India is looking for the Area Sales Manager \xe2\x80\x93 Central (Ahmedabad/Baroda) for our Energy Division.

India is also a group manufacturing site for High-Speed Separators, Decanters, Heat Exchangers and Fluid handling equipment and has a parts distribution Centre.

Energy Business in India has grown very well during the recent years and Area Sales Manager will Represent Alfa Laval Energy Division in the Central India Region for capital sales of High-speed separators and solutions and provide seamless customer experience during all phases of business as face of Alfa Laval.

The position / About the Job:

As an area sales manager you will be responsible for identifying business opportunities within the market and concluding direct sales of Alfa Laval products and services within a defined area of responsibility (e.g. geographical, group of customer, industry or product group etc.).

  • Follow established sales processes and guidelines to promote and sell Alfa Laval Product and services.
  • Analyze and understand market insights and the customers buying behavior and make sales plans according to the business division strategy and targets, by working closely with experienced sales or sales team leader.
  • Look for and manage leads from the market and customers and convert them in real business opportunities in other to ensure the pipeline.
  • Be active in the market and focus on making visits, meetings, and interactions to customers, focusing on customer needs understanding and highlighting the value of our products and services.
  • Runs the operation by managing the customer grid and proactive planning in our tools.
  • Develop value quotes reflecting the customer needs stressing the unique selling points and follow up.
  • Use the CRM tool and other tools in a consistent and qualitative way, to support the sales process and take decisions.
  • Drive business through channel management, channel growth, indirect channel.
  • Strong business growth from Partners.
Key competencies required as a sales manager \xe2\x80\x93
  • Customer relationship management and excellent negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, Immense travelling ability, good decision maker.
  • To be able to close contracts by innovatively providing options/solutions.
  • Networking and influencing ability.
  • Engineer in Mechanical/Chemical is a must. MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in related industry which includes Technical Sales, B2B, KAM, EPC Contractors Handling.
  • Prior channel management experience is must.
  • Can be a person who is currently working in Petro \xe2\x80\x93 chemical industry, Metal & Power and has gained experience in capital sales.
  • Presentation Skills.
