To drive sales growth, expand the distributor/dealer network, build strong OEM and institutional customer relationships, and ensure territory coverage for Company's Electrical & Industrial Components portfolio.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Sales Achievement & Business Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for assigned territory.
Drive product penetration for electrical & industrial components and OEM solutions.
Generate new business opportunities through market mapping and lead conversion.
B. Distributor & Channel Management
Appoint, onboard, and develop distributors and channel partners.
Monitor distributor performance, schemes, stock levels, and secondary sales.
Conduct weekly visits to key channel partners to ensure strong market presence.
Manage sales officers/promoters (if applicable) and support them in achieving field targets.
C. Territory & Customer Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, contractors, institutions, and government departments.
Visit customer sites regularly to understand requirements and offer suitable product solutions.
Ensure customer concerns, service issues, and technical queries are addressed quickly.
D. Market & Competitor Insights
Track competitor products, pricing, schemes, and market trends.
Gather market intelligence and share insights with senior management for planning.
Identify high-potential areas and propose strategies to increase geographical reach.
E. Sales Operations & Coordination
Prepare daily/monthly sales reports, funnel updates, and territory plans.
Coordinate with internal teams (Customer Service, Technical, Logistics) for smooth order execution.
Ensure timely payment collection and compliance with commercial policies.
Support sales campaigns, product launches, trade shows, and customer events.
3. Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of basic Electrical & Electronics engineering
Solid experience in B2B Industrial Sales / Channel Sales / Territory Sales.
Ability to manage distributors, key accounts, and OEM relationships.
Competence in sales forecasting, negotiation, and proposal preparation.
Proficiency in MS Excel, CRM tools, and sales reporting.
Behavioural Competencies:
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Strong team handling and people management ability.
Problem-solving and decision-making approach.
High level of discipline, coordination, and follow-through.
Ability to travel extensively within the territory.
4. Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or
Diploma into Electrical Engineering qualification is mandatory
MBA/PGDM in sales and marketing.
5. Experience Range :
12 to 15 years of experience in area sales, electrical industry sales, channel development, or OEM sales.
Area Exposure Mumbai only.
