The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving wholesale pharma sales in the assigned territory through stockists, distributors, and hospitals. The role includes business development, secondary sales growth, payment collection, institutional sales, and maintaining healthy business relationships across B2B channels.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement area-wise sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual targets.
Manage and expand B2B business with hospitals, stockists, wholesalers, dispensaries, and large distributors.
Handle institutional selling, rate contracts, and bulk deals with hospitals & corporate healthcare groups.
Ensure product availability and proper inventory movement as per company norms.
Generate and analyze secondary sales reports and ensure target achievements.
Coordinate with Medical Representatives (MRs) and support field teams in business execution.
Conduct meetings, product training, and market visit plans with sales teams.
Monitor competitor pricing, schemes, and market trends.
Manage commercial activities including credit control, payment follow-ups, and reconciliation with accounts.
Maintain compliance to regulatory requirements, ethical promotion norms, and company policies.
