Job Title: Area Sales Manager - FMCG & Perfume Division
Location: Mumbai and Surat

Role Overview:
The Field Sales Manager will lead and develop the on-ground sales team to drive product placement, visibility, and secondary sales in the assigned territory. The role involves building strong distributor networks, achieving monthly sales targets, expanding market reach, and ensuring brand dominance in the perfume and FMCG category.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Target Achievement
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for perfumes, attars, and FMCG lines.
Plan and execute beat plans and ensure outlet coverage as per company standards.
Track secondary and tertiary sales performance regularly.
2. Distributor & Retail Management
Appoint, manage, and motivate distributors and sub-stockists.
Ensure healthy stock rotation and availability of key SKUs.
Monitor distributor claims, credit limits, and performance.
Drive sales through local retail counters, cosmetic stores, and modern trade channels.
3. Market Expansion & Visibility
Identify new markets, retail touchpoints, and potential towns for business growth.
Execute product visibility programs, in-store branding, and sampling activities.
Gather market intelligence on competitor pricing, schemes, and promotions.
4. Team Leadership & Training
Lead, train, and motivate Sales Executives / Sales Representatives in the field.
Conduct regular market visits with the team for supervision and performance evaluation.
Ensure team compliance with reporting formats and CRM tools.
5. Reporting & Coordination
Maintain accurate sales data, route plans, and performance reports.
Coordinate with the marketing and logistics team for stock movement and promotional execution.
Share feedback on product performance and consumer trends.
Qualifications & Experience:
Graduate / MBA in Marketing, Sales, or related field.
3-6 years of FMCG or Perfume/Personal Care field sales experience.
Proven track record of team handling and channel management.
Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
