Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Sales Executive
Purpose:
To outline the responsibilities, expectations, and guidelines for Sales Executives to ensure effective sales processes, customer relationship management, and adherence to company policies.
Scope:
This SOP applies to all Sales Executives engaged in sales activities, including lead generation, customer interactions, sales negotiations, and order closure.
Responsibilities:
1. Sales Executive:
- Generate leads and prospects through various channels.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Negotiate sales agreements and close deals.
- Meet or exceed sales targets.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Rules and Regulations:
1. Mis-selling:
- Mis-selling or misrepresenting products/services to customers is strictly prohibited and may lead to legal action.
2. Multitasking:
- Engaging in multitasking activities that compromise sales performance or customer interactions is not allowed and may lead to legal action.
3. Carrying Company Items:
- Carrying company items (e.g., documents, equipment) without proper authorization or concern may lead to legal action.
4. Absconding:
- Absconding or abandoning duties without notice or justification may result in no claim for compensation or benefits.
5. Personal Use of Company Payments:
- Using company payments or funds for personal purposes is strictly prohibited and may lead to disciplinary action.
6. Recovery from Customers:
- Sales Executives are responsible for recovering payments from customers and ensuring timely payment to the company.
Procedures:
1. Lead Generation:
- Identify potential customers through research, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
- Qualify leads based on criteria such as budget, need, and decision-making authority.
2. Customer Interactions:
- Engage with customers through phone calls, meetings, and emails.
- Understand customer needs and provide solutions.
- Present products or services that meet customer requirements.
3. Sales Negotiations:
