Job Summary
The Area Sales Executive will be responsible for driving sales and expanding market presence of Sevana's packaging machinery solutions across the assigned territories of Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh, with Bangalore as the base location. The role involves extensive field sales activities, dealer and direct customer engagement, product demonstrations, negotiations, and end-to-end coordination from lead generation to successful order closure and delivery.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned Bangalore territory.
Generate leads through field visits, cold calling, references, exhibitions, and dealer networks.
Conduct product presentations and live demonstrations of Sevana machines at customer sites.
Achieve monthly and quarterly and yearly sales targets as defined by management.
Customer Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, distributors, and direct customers.
Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable Sevana solutions.
Handle price discussions, negotiations, and order finalization in line with company policy.
Ensure timely follow-ups on quotations, inquiries, and pending orders.
Dealer & Channel Coordination
Appoint, manage, and support dealers within the assigned area (where applicable).
Assist dealers with joint customer visits and closing opportunities.
Monitor dealer performance and provide regular feedback to the sales manager.
Coordination & Execution
Coordinate with internal teams (sales support, production, logistics, service) to ensure smooth order processing.
Track orders from confirmation to dispatch and delivery, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Support installation and handover coordination when required.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
Collect and report market intelligence, competitor activities, and pricing trends.
Maintain accurate daily activity reports, customer visit logs, and sales pipelines.
Share customer feedback and improvement suggestions with management.
Candidate Profile / Requirements
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
1-3 years of experience in industrial machinery, packaging, or B2B sales (preferred).
Strong communication and negotiation skills in English, Hindi and Kannada (Telugu is an advantage).
Willingness to travel extensively across Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable with field sales.
Basic proficiency in MS Office / CRM tools.
