Job Title: Area ManagerLocation: All over OdishaDepartment: Sales /MarketingJob Purpose:To oversee and manage sales and operational activities within a specific geographical area to ensure business growth, brand visibility, team performance, and distributor/dealer development. The Area Manager will be responsible for executing company strategies and achieving targets.Key Responsibilities:Sales & Revenue:- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the area.- Identify and develop new business opportunities, channels, and partnerships.- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.Team Management:- Supervise and guide a team of sales executives, supervisors, or territory managers.- Set targets, monitor performance, and provide training and motivation.Distributor/Dealer Network:- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, or retailers.- Ensure proper stock availability, timely payments, and relationship management.Marketing & Promotion:- Execute local marketing campaigns and promotional activities.- Ensure visibility and branding standards are maintained at all retail and point-of-sale outlets.Operations & Reporting:- Ensure timely reporting of sales, expenses, market feedback, and competitor insights.- Monitor area performance and implement corrective actions as needed.Customer Relationship Management:- Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.- Resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.Key Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).- 5+ years of experience in field sales or area management (preferably in FMCG, retail, beverages, or relevant industry).- Strong leadership and team management skills.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.Key Competencies:- Target-oriented mindset- Strategic thinking and execution- People management- Analytical and decision-making skills- Market understanding and customer insight (ref:updazz.com)
