7. Key Responsibilities
Assist in conceptualizing and developing architectural designs, master plans, and spatial layouts for schools and institutional infrastructure projects.
Prepare 2D plans, elevations, sections, and 3D models using AutoCAD or other relevant design software under the supervision of senior architects.
Support space planning for classrooms, admin blocks, labs, libraries, sports areas, and other school-specific facilities.
Create and update detailed working drawings, construction documentation, and interior layouts as per design requirements.
Ensure proper version control, drawing documentation, and incorporation of design changes based on internal and client feedback.
Collaborate with civil, MEP, structural, interior design, and landscape teams to ensure interdisciplinary design consistency.
Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and contractors for design execution and technical clarifications during various project stages.
Assist in the development of architectural presentations, walkthroughs, mood boards, and proposal decks for client and internal meetings.
Conduct material research and support in selecting finishes, fixtures, and colors aligned with branding, sustainability goals, and project vision.
Ensure basic compliance with applicable building codes, school board regulations (CBSE, ICSE, State Boards), accessibility norms, and safety standards.
Conduct site visits to gather measurements, check execution progress, and verify alignment with approved drawings and specifications.
Document site conditions, deviations, and report observations to senior architects or project leads for timely resolution.
Stay updated on architectural innovations, trends in educational space design, and green building practices relevant to institutional projects.
Propose functional, creative, and cost-effective design solutions aligned with user needs and organizational goals.
Maintain organized records of drawings, client feedback, communication logs, and other project documentation for easy access and audit purposes.
Provide administrative and design-related support to the architectural and project coordination teams to ensure timely project delivery.
8. Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related discipline from a recognized institute.
0-2 years of professional experience in architectural design or internships.
Willingness to travel to client or project sites across India as required.
Working knowledge of sketchup and rendering softwares (lumion, vray, etc.)
Preferred Qualification:
Certification in AutoCAD, or any recognized drafting/design software.
Knowledge of national building codes, drafting standards, construction practices and materials is a plus.
Portfolio demonstrating academic or professional design projects.
