Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman to join our team immediately. This role is focused purely on architectural working drawings and GFC (Good for Construction) documentation. The candidate will work closely with architects to translate design intent into precise, build-ready drawings suitable for execution on site.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed architectural working drawings and GFC sets including plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and notes. Convert schematic designs and design-development drawings into accurate construction drawings. Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and consultant inputs. Revise and update drawings based on design changes, site feedback, and consultant comments. Ensure drawings follow applicable building regulations, local bylaws, and office standards. Maintain clean AutoCAD files with proper layering, X-refs, naming conventions, and version control. Assist architects in resolving technical detailing and constructability issues.
Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in architectural drafting, specifically in working drawings and GFC documentation. Software Skills: Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory. Knowledge of SketchUp or Revit is an advantage. Technical Knowledge: Excellent understanding of architectural detailing, materials, and construction methods. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and design intent accurately. Education: Diploma in Architecture / Civil Engineering or ITI in Draughtsman (Civil). Soft Skills: High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to handle tight timelines and multiple drawing packages. Clear communication and coordination skills.
