Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented

Architectural Draughtsman/woman

to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transforming conceptual designs into precise technical drawings and blueprints. You will work closely with architects and engineers to ensure that all architectural plans are accurate, compliant with building codes, and ready for construction.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Drafting & Documentation

Prepare detailed architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed structural details using

AutoCAD

and/or

Revit

. Convert rough sketches and specifications provided by architects into technical drawings. Create 3D models and visualizations to assist in design presentations (if required). Maintain and update the drawing library and ensure version control of all digital files.

2. Coordination & Collaboration

Collaborate with structural, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate their designs into the architectural plans (MEP coordination). Liaise with the project team to modify designs based on feedback or site constraints. Assist in the preparation of submission drawings for municipal and local authority approval.

3. Compliance & Standards

Ensure all drawings adhere to local building codes, zoning laws, and safety regulations. Follow company CAD standards and layering systems to ensure consistency across all projects. Review drawings for accuracy and identify potential design conflicts before construction begins.

4. Site Support (Optional/As Needed)

Visit construction sites to gather measurements and verify existing conditions (as-built drawings). Assist in resolving technical queries raised by the site execution team.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Experience

Diploma or Certificate

in Architectural Assistantship, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (Bachelor of Architecture is a plus but not mandatory for drafting roles).

6 Months

of proven experience as a Draughtsman or in a similar role within the Architecture/Construction industry.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory.

Strong working knowledge of

Revit / BIM

software is highly preferred. Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, or MS Office Suite is an advantage. Solid understanding of construction materials, building techniques, and architectural detailing.

Soft Skills

Attention to Detail:

Ability to spot errors and ensure precise measurements.

Time Management:

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Communication:

Clear written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with the design team.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus)

Knowledge of green building standards or sustainable design practices. Experience in Structural, MEPF, Architectural.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
