Role overview

An architectural draftsman converts architects' and designers' concepts into accurate 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software, ensuring they comply with building codes and project specifications. The role involves close coordination with architects, engineers, and site teams to translate design intent into buildable, coordinated drawings.?

Key responsibilities

Prepare detailed architectural plans, sections, elevations, layouts, and construction details from sketches, mark?ups, and design briefs.? Use CAD tools (such as AutoCAD, or similar) to produce and update drawings, models, and technical documentation.? Check and incorporate building codes, local regulations, and technical standards into drawings and notes.? Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and interior layouts to avoid clashes and ensure constructability.? Take site measurements, verify existing conditions, and revise drawings based on site changes or RFIs.? Maintain drawing registers, version control, and organized digital/printed drawing records for the project.?
Skills and qualifications

Diploma/degree or certification in architectural drafting, architecture, or related field, often with CAD/BIM training.? Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and familiarity with Revit or other BIM platforms; good understanding of drafting standards and detailing.? Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and local bylaws/codes, with strong attention to accuracy and dimensions.? Good coordination, communication, and time?management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
