Description:
Airbus is looking for an Architect/Tech Lead to join in Bengaluru, India. The individual will act as a visionary to proactively assist in defining the direction for future IT Products & Services and validate product designs.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing PLM solutions to streamline product lifecycle management and business processes. With deep expertise in ARAS Innovator, they customize workflows, enhance data security, and ensure seamless system integration while aligning PLM strategies with business objectives.
You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and apply strategic thinking to solve the complex challenges and drive successful project delivery. This is a key role to the Cabin and Customisation Design Automation product, part of Digital, which consists of solutions and services to ensure automated and seamless E2E use of customer definition for all downstream processes from offer until end of A/C operations.

Responsibilities:
Architectural Design & Strategy:
Designing, developing, testing, documenting, publishing, supporting and operating on premises and cloud (AWS, GCP, Openshift) applications.
Define and drive the technology strategy and architectural vision for the organization, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices.
Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance IT systems and solutions that meet evolving business needs.
Translate diverse business requirements into clear, technical specifications and architectural blueprints within the ArasInnovator framework.
Define and enforce architectural standards, design patterns, and best practices for Aras application deployments.
Create comprehensive architectural documentation (system architecture dossiers), including system diagrams, design specifications, and reference architectures.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation for the Product including migration to cloud.
Collaborates with other Architects, systems analysts and developers to deliver the highest quality solutions via cutting edge technologies.
Define models, including solution patterns, to guide solution decisions.
Participates in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support.
Performs the technical/functional design of the application and infrastructure components of a new solution according to the defined functional design.
Provides expertise on Business processes, change management transformation, function improvement and technology enabling Business processes re-engineering and supports architects during projects.
Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and platforms to enhance the organization's IT capabilities.
Monitoring and evaluating the performance and effectiveness of IT solutions, making recommendations for continuous improvements.
Collaboration & Leadership:
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as a subject matter expert for Aras, advising stakeholders on strategic PLM initiatives and best practices.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders across various departments, including business leaders, project managers, and development teams, to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Design, visualize and communicate architectures in different levels of detail from system in context to high level technology choices to functional components.
Communicate the architecture artifacts at highest quality, executive friendly, and easily consumable by a wide audience.
Oversee the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring adherence to architectural standards, governance frameworks, and project timelines.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices.
Security, Performance & Compliance:
Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of all IT systems and infrastructure.
Conduct security risk assessments and develop strategies for mitigation.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices in IT architecture.

Required Skills:
Experience:
7-9 years of progressive experience in IT roles, with a significant portion in an IT Architect or similar senior technical role.
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex IT solutions across various domains (e.g., applications, infrastructure, data, security).
Technical Skills:
In Depth knowledge of Aras Innovator platform in Configuration, Customization, enterprise-level integration.
Hands on experience with AML, workflows, Lifecycle and Nash
Strong proficiency in C#, .NET, JavaScript
Experience in Microsoft SQL Server including database design and optimization for Aras
Strong understanding of PLM process like Change Management (ECO/ECN), Document Management, BOM Management and Quality Management
Experience with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
Design and implement custom solutions using Aras Innovator API.
Ability to implement CI/CD processes for ARAS solutions.
Deep understanding of IT infrastructure components (servers, storage, networking, virtualization).
Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Deep knowledge of design Patterns.
Good Knowledge on one or more tech stacks, identify alternative tech choices and trade-offs.
Identifying feasible alternatives and freeze on the optimal choice of data structures and advanced algorithms
Very Strong System design and Object Oriented skills with a nifty ability to craft clean interfaces and operate at the right levels of abstraction.
Solid coding skills with the ability to drive teams through massive refactoring exercises and improve coding standards across large codebases.
Good knowledge, understanding and experience of working with a large variety of multi-tier architectures.
Should have been part of scalable product development cycles with either large data handling or large transaction processing exposure.
Experience in designing and building large distributed systems with knowledge on distributed design patterns
Experience and exposure to a variety of large scale persistent systems including large databases.
Aircraft Configuration management basic knowledge will be an added advantage
Cloud Computing
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP, Openshift) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Soft Skills and Documentation:
Create comprehensive architectural documentation, including system diagrams, design specifications, and reference architectures.
Proficiency in architectural modeling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, Draw.io, Class Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams etc).
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Exposure to complete product development cycles - From Concept to production scaling up, supporting new requirements,re-architectures - the Architects should have seen it all.
Knowledge on Waterfall / Agile/ SAFe project methodologies and Versionone/JIRA/Gsuite is a must.
Knowledge of Sustainability IT will be an added advantage.
Cabin customization understanding would be appreciated.
Advanced level of English.
Security and Risk Management:
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment, and security protocols.
Knowledge of network architecture and security protocols.
Familiarity with Export control for IM.
Good Understanding of Encryption Protocols like Symmetric and Asmetric and methodologies like encryption at rest and transit.
Devops and IAM:
Experience in working in Authentication and encryption technologies
DevOps tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, JFrog Artifactory, VersionOne, Sonarqube etc.
Environment:

Willingness to travel for a short term to Europe.
