Architect - Residential (Australian Projects)

About Us

We are a design-led practice working primarily on

residential homes in Australia

- with projects across

Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns

. From Pune, we prepare complete drawing and 3D packages for Australian builders and clients, focusing on smart planning, council-compliant documentation, and high-quality visualisation.

We are now looking for a

detail-oriented Architect

who loves residential design and is comfortable working across

2D drawings and 3D visualisation

.

Position Summary

The Architect will work on

Class 1 residential projects

(custom homes, granny flats, extensions, renovations) for the Australian market. You will be responsible for preparing drawings in AutoCAD, 3D models in SketchUp, and realistic renders using Lumion/V-Ray (or similar), while collaborating closely with our design team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys

space planning, facades, and visual storytelling

while still being strong in technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Produce

concept plans, working drawings and detailed sets

for residential projects using

AutoCAD

. Develop

3D models in SketchUp

and generate

realistic views/renders

using Lumion, V-Ray or similar rendering software. Translate design briefs and mark-ups from the Australian team into accurate, buildable drawings. Prepare

presentation boards

- plans, 3D views, material palettes - for client and builder presentations. Coordinate drawings across

plans, elevations, sections, and details

to maintain consistency. Incorporate feedback from senior designers, engineers, and consultants while maintaining design intent. Ensure drawings and models are organised using office standards (layers, naming conventions, file management). Stay mindful of

Australian residential standards and council requirements

(training/support will be provided). Work to agreed

timelines and milestones

and communicate clearly about progress or issues.
Education (Mandatory)

Bachelor's degree in Architecture (B.Arch)

from a recognised university.
Experience

0-3 years

of experience in an architecture / building design office. Freshers with strong portfolios and excellent software skills are welcome to apply.
Skills - Mandatory

AutoCAD

- strong command for 2D drawings and detailing.

SketchUp

- confident in setting up clean, accurate 3D models.

Rendering software

- Lumion or V-Ray (or similar real-time / photoreal engine) for exterior & interior views. Good sense of

residential planning, proportions and facades

. Strong graphical and presentation skills (layout, composition, basic image editing). Ability to

follow standards

, work from mark-ups, and pay attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a

collaborative, remote-coordination environment

. Good communication skills in

English

(written and spoken).
Skills - Preferred (Bonus)

Working knowledge of

ArchiCAD

and/or

Revit

. Experience with

Photoshop / InDesign / Illustrator

for presentation boards. Prior exposure to

Australian or international residential projects

. Understanding of general building codes and regulatory standards (any country).
