- Design and Planning: Architects are responsible for designing and planning buildings and spaces that are functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing. They work with clients to understand their needs and come up with a design that meets those needs.
- Site Analysis: Architects conduct site analysis to understand the physical and environmental factors that may impact the design and construction of a building. They consider factors such as sun exposure, wind direction, topography, and zoning regulations.
- Drafting and Documentation: Architects create detailed drawings and specifications that communicate the design intent to builders, contractors, and other stakeholders. These drawings may include floor plans, elevations, sections, and details.
- Budgeting and Cost Estimation: Architects are responsible for developing a budget for the project and ensuring that the design meets the budget requirements. They may also prepare cost estimates for materials, labor, and other project expenses.
- Project Management: Architects often act as project managers, overseeing the construction process to ensure that the design is implemented correctly and that the project is completed on time and within budget.
- Collaboration: Architects collaborate with other professionals, such as engineers, builders, contractors, and interior designers, to ensure that the project meets all the requirements and is delivered successfully.
