Key Responsibilities and Duties

Client Consultation:

Understanding client goals, preferences, and project requirements to develop design concepts.

Design Development:

Creating layouts, floor plans, 3D renderings, and mood boards using software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.

Material Selection:

Choosing fixtures, furniture, lighting, flooring, and wall finishes (FF&E).

Project Management:

Estimating costs, establishing project timelines, and overseeing construction to ensure design accuracy.

Collaboration:

Working with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Interior Design / Architecture or related fields.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling, and rendering programs.

Creativity & Visualization:

Ability to conceptualize and sketch design ideas.

Communication:

Strong interpersonal skills to manage client expectations and coordinate with vendors.

Attention to Detail:

Knowledge of, and adherence to, building codes, inspection regulations, and accessibility standards
