End-to-End Architecture Breadth
Cloud & SaaS Solution Design (AWS Focus)-Core hands-on experience in AWS cloud infra-architecture, especially as part of Data Platforms. SaaS Adoption, AWS cloud migration
Domain & Leadership Fit(Asset/Financial/Banking)-Experience in Asset Management. Must be knowing various data elements, applications such as Aladdin, MarkitEDM, etc.
Data Architecture & Analytics(PBI, ETL, etc)-Core hands-on experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Data Governance, Data Management, Data Analytics
Must have worked as Solution Architect in the banking industry
Must have core development experience n the past. - Started as developer to lead to architect.
Must be able to define solutions, design architecture and drive the project technically.
Role Purpose
The purpose of the Solution Architect role is to: Define end-to-end solutions for IT change
Create designs that are fit for purpose from a functional, non-functional, service, and security point of view
Deliver solutions that progress the overall architecture journey and are aligned to Our customer s IT Strategy
Comply with standards, design approaches and governance
Accountabilities
Nature of Work Solutions and Assurance o Create solutions and design for projects to meet Our customer s standards for technology and ensure they meet our ambitions for availability, security, resilience and performance
Produce design options with associated costs, benefits and risks to enable investment decisions
Work with product owners, architects, platform teams and other project colleagues to agree trade-offs between, long-term and short term goals
Responsible for the integrity of the end-to-end solution across Platforms, including transition states used to achieve the target state
Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints, ensuring that component parts deliver against business outcomes
Technical Leadership o Provide leadership on key designs to ensure the long term strategic goals of Our customer IT are met as well as short term project needs
Ensure design artefacts are produced to support stakeholder group for service, security, architecture and engineering
Peer review the design artefacts of others
Provide coaching, mentoring and training to less experienced team members as required
Design Community membership o Contribute to the Solution Architecture community across Our customer Group leading on or participating in initiatives to improve Our customer s approach to design
Develop your technical skills to support Our customer s need to understand and exploit emerging technology trends
Risk & Controls Identify, own and manage the specific key risks and/or IT controls and BP standards that you are identified as the owner and/or nominee for on iCARE or Archer o Ensure that issues and actions associated to controls / risks are remediated in a timely manner
Maintain appropriate records on iCARE or Archer
Ensure that controls are sufficiently well designed and operating effectively to keep the risks that they mitigate within Our customer's tolerance level
Report and escalate the status of the relevant risks, controls and standards as appropriate
Resource Complexity Accountable for working within policy and guidelines, applying technical knowledge and expertise and prioritising own use of time

Capabilities Excellent design skills
Strong knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle methodologies (mainly agile).
Strong technical experience. This maybe broad experience with the ability to apply it across a variety of customer and business scenarios; or strong domain specialisms to maximise the benefit of technology in key areas e.g. Infrastructure, Business Intelligence, Pensions.
The role holder must care about technology and how to exploit it for the benefit of our customers.
Financial acumen to support development of business cases and to inform key design decisions.
Ability to balance long-term direction and necessary short-term goals.
Good communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to peers and project colleagues.
