Job Summary

The Database Administrator / Applications Architect consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives and creates programs to solve business problems and support automation relying on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Roles & Responsibilities

This position has responsibility for:

  • Implement backup and recovery strategies; engages in performance tuning, data migration and business process analysis; troubleshoot, analyze & resolve database and application service issues.
  • Modifying programming systems including coding, testing, debugging and installing to support business and business intelligence applications as well as engineering analysis systems. Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company database and ERP systems.
  • Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes; resolves database performance issues, database capacity issues, replication, and other distributed data issues.
  • Plan and coordinate data migrations and integrations between systems. Write code to achieve desired result.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing processes for modifications to databases and applications.
  • Defines the technical architecture for custom and packaged-based Oracle Supply Chain applications (full order to cash cycles), Oracle Financials, and Supply Chain Planning. Creates comprehensive solutions which consider our entire technical landscape.
  • Develop and support application integration initiatives between pSemi, Murata, contract manufacturers and other partners.
  • Responsible for software development life cycle, relational databases (Oracle, SQL-Server, etc.), Workflow, concurrent manager, alert, systems administration and how they work
  • Work towards understanding and modifying operating interrelationships between the Datapower business applications and user / business processes.
  • Develop reports and alerts for improving overall system management and improving overall system uptime.
  • Suggest designs to meet network, database system requirements and selecting alternative measures to develop better security technologies.
  • Performs a variety of complicated tasks including those associated with application programming.

Minimum Qualifications (Experience and Skills)
  • 10+ years of professional experience working with Oracle e-business suite of which at least 2 years in release 12.x
  • 5+ years of experience in systems integration tools and methodology
  • 2 year of full cycle ERP Implementations experience
  • Experience working in a complex customized Oracle e-business suite implementation
  • 7+ years of experience with PL/SQL, forms 10.x, reports 10.x, XML Publisher, OA Framework, workflow builder development skills
  • Strong technical experience developing and debugging Oracle workflows (PO, HRSS)
  • Experience with conducting fit/gap analysis, design, configuration and testing
  • Oracle EBS with Cloud or other SOA integration experience
  • Experience working with and leading business and IT team members
  • Strong collaboration skills; Experience working in a production support team
  • Toad, Unix Shell Script, Sun Solaris and Linux
  • Exceptional problem solving and project management skills
  • Strong technical understanding of the Oracle Applications data model.
  • Ability to provide on call support and resolve high priority incidents
  • Ability to capture business requirements and end to end business processes
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting semiconductor industry
  • Exposure to Talend Integration tools
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree in Computer Applications/Science or Information Systems preferred
