Key Responsibilities of an Architect:

Client Interaction:

Discussing project objectives, requirements, and budget with clients.

Design Development:

Creating architectural plans and detailed drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software and potentially hand sketches.

Project Management:

Managing projects, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.

Construction Oversight:

Visiting construction sites to ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications.

Compliance:

Ensuring designs meet building codes, zoning laws, and other regulations.

Cost Estimation:

Assisting in the development of project budgets.

Documentation:

Preparing contracts, planning applications, and other necessary documentation.

Technical Expertise:

Utilizing skills in areas like AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio, and other relevant software.

Problem-Solving:

Addressing any issues that arise during the design and construction process.

Coordination:

Working with engineers, contractors, and other construction professionals.

Sustainability:

Considering the environmental impact of designs and incorporating sustainable design principles.
