Design and Develop System/ Plant models until their validation against all required technical specifications Execute Robotics Simulations pertaining to mission planning. Candidate shall be located at Chandigarh.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities:EssentialCandidate Shall -- Have a basic understanding of programming languages like - Python, MATLAB, C based software development lifecycle- Be familiar with Electro-hydraulic/ Electro-Mechanical System Modelling concepts along with know-how of various associated tools xe2x80x93 MATLAB, Simulink, Automation Studio, etc.- Have foundational level understanding of communication protocols and OSI 7 layers models and related services- Have a basic understating of Controller-plant relation/ real time simulations- Assist in delivering HIL/MIL/SIL simulations along with testing and validation- Be willing to learn the math behind ML and DL based algorithms- Have a good understanding of controllers, PID controllers, system level model generation to component level modelling/simulation- Generate/create models, virtual test environments to simulate real-world conditions and evaluate robotic system performance.- Validate performance of simulation models under real-world operating conditions- Proficiency in programming with a strong understanding of engineering concepts for creating robotics solutions.- Perform kinematic & dynamics analysis to design/ develop/ simulate different types of robotic solutions- Be trained on to develop mission simulators for subsea operations- Strong analytical skills to analyze and optimize the physics-based 1D and 3D models for accurate and realistic simulation performance.- Collaborate with offshore operations teams to understand the practical challenges robots face in real-world applications.- Proficiency in software development, debugging & refactoring- Execute complex projects, under supervision, from start to delivery until the qualification of the product through verification & validation etc.- Study subsea oil & gas market opportunities to identify needs & problems, generate and screen ideas, make business cases.- Benchmark competitorxe2x80x99s products of the relevant segment with reference to technology, features, construction, materials, reliability, quality, cost etc.- Explore information available from all sources, including journals, online published content, subscribed newsletters etc. Conduct literature survey, Patent landscape analysis etc.- Conduct reviews and participate in concept brainstorming sessions.- Ascertain compliance with established Engineering processes by the engineering team- Liaise with external research agencies/vendors or Institutes to develop technology and products/prototypes that provide strategic advantage to Oceaneering in the marketplace.- Act as single point of contact for one or more business units for product development projects.xc2xb7 Communicate with business units to understand their design & analysis needs.xc2xb7 Define scope of workxc2xb7 Plan jobs for duration, cost, etc.xc2xb7 Have resources allocated.xc2xb7 Share regular updates about work with client.xc2xb7 Monitor performance on relevant key performance indicators.xc2xb7 Prepare & conduct technical training.- Should be open to travel as per business needs.- Work towards individual goals aligned with department and organizational objectives.- Guide team members to have them accomplish their performance goals.- Comply to organizational HR policies and procedures.- Understand and adhere to organizational HSE policies and practices.Non-Essential- Have some hands-on experience or basic knowledge of operating electro-hydraulic systems and understanding components like motors, drives, actuators, embedded hardware, PLCs, and controllers.- Be familiar with the basics of systems such as Remotely Operated Vehicles, Manipulators, Mobile Robots, and Drones, including their kinematics and dynamics.- Have a basic understanding or interest in Graphics, Animation, and Design concepts.Safety- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.Other- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.- Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.Supervisory Responsibilities- This position has/does not have direct supervisory responsibilities.Reporting Relationship- Manager xe2x80x93 Product EngineeringQualificationsQualifications:Required- Post Graduation (masterxe2x80x99s degree) / Graduation (bachelorxe2x80x99s degree) in Mechatronics/ Robotics Engineering.
