:

We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our technology team to solve exciting business problems in the domain of commercial banking, payments and financial services.

As an Applied AI ML Associate at JPMorgan Chase within the Data Management team in Commercial Bank Technology, you will design and train production grade ML models on large-scale datasets to solve various business use cases for Commercial Bank.

Job responsibilities

• Work with Business Partners and Product Owners to translate business problems into appropriate Machine Learning use cases and plan the technical roadmap for short, mid, long-term alignment.
• Formulate right hypothesis and implement algorithms to accept/reject the same
• Baseline ML outcomes and build upon them
• Use statistical methods, machine learning techniques in the context of the data and with the clear intuition of the underlying mathematics and data structure
• Formulate the right optimization target and implement algorithmic methods to achieve the same
• Proficiently implement post deployment model monitoring techniques, drift detections and subsequent management
• Expertly navigate bias and explainability aspects of the algorithms and implement solutions wherever required to meet corresponding needs
• Expertly use Deep Learning frameworks like Attention, Graph Neural Networks, RNN, LSTM etc. on basis of prudent evaluation of the need
• Use large scale data processing frameworks such as Spark, AWS EMR for feature engineering and be proficient across various data both structured and un-structured.
• Build ML models across Public and Private Cloud environments including container-based Kubernetes environments.
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines necessary to transform existing applications and business processes into true AI systems.
• Build both batch and real-time model prediction pipelines with existing application and front-end integrations.
• You will collaborate to develop large-scale data modeling experiments, evaluating against strong baselines, and extracting key statistical insights and/or cause and effect relations

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Advanced Degree in field of Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics or Data Science or equivalent discipline
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as a hands-on Data Scientist
• Deep expertise with one or many of the following domains - information retrieval, semantic search, named entity resolution, forecasting, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, graph neural networks, large scale search systems etc.
• Experience with analytics (ex: SQL, Presto, Spark, Python, AWS suite)
• Deep understanding in foundational theories in Machine Learning is expected - e.g. regression, classification, clustering, time series, econometrics, causal inference, mathematical optimization, neural network)
• Strong curiosity for data and a proven track record of successfully applying rigorous scientific methods with proficiency in Machine Learning.
• Sufficient understanding on the End-to-End Machine Learning Engineering and DevOps capabilities for deploying models.
• Strong knowledge of ML, NLP, Deep Learning, Knowledge Graphs, Large Language Models and have experience working with massive amounts of data.
• Strong software engineering skills and the ability to build systems that reach JP Morgan scale.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Experience with AWS ML ecosystem (i.e. Sagemaker, EMR etc.) is preferred
• Strong communication skills along with significant experience of managing stakeholder of diverse background is preferred
• Hands on expertise with Python, PySpark, DL frameworks like TensorFlow/PyTorch over GPU is preferred
• Experience with Large Language Models w.r.t. Prompt Engineering and fine tuning will be advantageous.
