Job Description


We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative individual to be part of our Stability team which is part of CIB Stability and Controls. You will be responsible for understanding the business processes associated with our key applications across the Markets, Post Trade and Securities Services Business and to be able to identify areas of potential instability. You will also be required to generate stability reports for senior management and also to chair and host stability meetings across all lines of business. Key responsibilities:

  • Creation of stability reports for all lines of business.
  • Chair stability review meetings.
  • Analyse stability metrics and determine potential areas of concern
  • Close collaboration with the Production management and Application Development teams.
  • Candidate needs to be familiar with ITIL support methodologies and concepts (Change, Incident, Problem, Event, Configuration management etc) and have a proven track record of achieving the above in prior roles.
Tech skills:

  • A production management support background is preferable.
  • An understanding of financial services is preferable.
  • An understanding of Web-based (Apache Tomcat & Apache Web server), Java, or e-commerce applications.
  • An understanding of Database Administration / SQL Development - Oracle, MS-SQL, Cassandra, Big data.
  • Understanding of internet security.
  • Understanding of Network Load Balancing.
  • Perl/Unix Shell Scripting preferable.
  • Understanding of Cloud and Container Technology - Dockers, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry.
  • Background knowledge of Monitoring software - Geneos, Splunk, Thousand Eyes, SevOne, Corvil, Service Now and Open Source.
Soft Skills :

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Problem solving skills - natural inclination towards problem resolution. Ability to understand complex component/system/service interactions and look for causes and provide solutions.
  • Self-driven, good initiatives and ability to think proactively.
  • Customer Service Orientation - build positive working relationships with customers at all times providing realistic information and managing their expectations.
  • Teamwork and co-operation - Ability to gel and work in a team oriented environment.
