Role:
The Application Support Specialist reports to Senior Director, Production Support. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing our production systems and applications. This resource works closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure our products deliver optimal performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
This position is ideal for someone with strong technical and problem-solving skills who enjoys debugging, system optimization, and continuous improvement in a live production environment.
Your Day with Equisoft:
Investigate and fix issues or bugs reported by users or monitoring systems in production environments.
Participating in the various meetings (the daily, retrospective, etc.).
Coordinate with development teams for long-term fixes.
Contribute and participate in the functional testing and documentation of existing and future applications.
Maintain detailed records of incidents, fixes, and best practices for future reference.
Identify the underlying cause of recurring issues and recommend permanent fixes.
Participate in the maintenance activities of the applications and functionalities of the product.
Collaborate with different teams to solve customer issues.
Requirements:
Technical
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Technology or College Diploma combined to 3 years of relevant experience
5-7 years' experience has an application support or developer role
Excellent knowledge and experience on Python, C# and JavaScript
Knowledge of React, MS SQL, Kotlin (Asset)
Very good aptitudes to write quality code with development best practices
Good knowledge of Object-Oriented Development and SOLID principles
Good knowledge of unit tests and Test-Driven Development
Monitor application performance using tools like Grafana.
Knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies
Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities
Excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written)

Strong sense of organization and prioritizing
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate, write and synthesize information
Ability to multi-task in a rapid-paced environment
