L2 Application Support Engineer (AI & Data monitoring )

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Application Support Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between operations and engineering, providing advanced technical support for our software applications. You will be responsible for database management (SQL/NoSQL), Azure cloud support, and the maintenance of AI-driven applications. You must possess strong debugging skills, a knack for process automation, and the ability to explain complex technical issues to stakeholders via clear documentation and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incident Management & Technical Support Provide 24x7 operational support for production environments, including coverage for holidays and weekends on a rotational basis.
Act as the Tier 2 point of contact for resolving complex application issues, serving as an escalation point for L1 support.
Debug and troubleshoot software anomalies using a strong understanding of application logic and APIs.
2. Database & Infrastructure Management Manage, query, and troubleshoot databases using MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
Configure and support applications hosted on Azure and Linux environments.
Monitor API integrations and performance to ensure system stability.
3. Deployment & Migration Execute migration strategies and manage deployment workflows for application updates.
Perform rigorous testing on production applications, including installation processes and recovery procedures.
Manage software upgrades and ensure seamless transition with minimal downtime.
4. AI & Continuous Improvement Support AI-integrated applications, monitoring model performance and data inputs.
Research, analyze, and recommend improvements to the organization's software usage and support workflows.
Utilize AI tools to assist in troubleshooting and automating routine support tasks.
5. Documentation & Reporting Create detailed technical documentation, Knowledge Base (KB) articles, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.
Prepare high-quality presentations and data visualizations using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI to communicate system health and project status.
Technical Requirements
Core Tech Stack: Databases: Strong proficiency in MSSQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB (Querying, maintenance, and basic administration).
Cloud & OS: Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Linux command line.
Development: Ability to read/debug code and understand API architecture (REST/SOAP).
AI & Automation: Familiarity with supporting AI/ML applications or LLM integrations.
Ability to use data to train/tweak support bots or automation scripts is a plus.
Reporting Tools: Advanced skills in Power BI for dashboard creation.
Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint for management reporting.
Soft Skills & Competencies Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers and internal teams.
Analytical Thinking: Advanced ability to research issues and propose long-term solutions rather than quick fixes.
Adaptability: Willingness to work in a 24x7 environment with rotational shifts.
