Role: Backup and recovery Management Role Description: Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience in Avamar Backup to take care of technical activities Should have strong knowledge with architecture of EMC Avamar. Must Have Skills: Avamar Backup Tool and Rubrik. Good To Have Skills: Rubrik and NetBackup Job Requirements Key Responsibilities: o Backup Management (Backups/Recovery jobs) o Monitoring (Software and Hardware) o Performing Scheduled Backups and On-Demand Backup requests o Backup troubleshooting on failures and slowness issue o New Server, VM, Agent based backup configuration and removal as per request o Performing critical and normal restores as per requests o Participating in audits for successful backups and failure backups o Backup software upgradation to latest patches or new version Technical Experience: o Should have experience on adding/updating backup and schedule policies, troubleshooting on backup failures, managing licensing and capacity usages. o Should have experience on multiple agents which includes Filesystem, SQL, Oracle, Exchange, SAP, Active Directory and VM ware. o Should have hands-on experience performing upgrades and patch updates. o Good understanding of Deduplication in Avamar and its implantation. o Should have experience knowledge on One Touch recovery, BareMetal restore. o Should have experience on replication and secondary Copy management and configuring backups on multiple remote sites. o Should have knowledge in performing disaster recovery backups. Managing High availability Backup Server and Performing backup migration. o Should have experience on configuring the Disk and Tape library in backups. o Should have hands-on experience in performing restoration of filesystem data o Should have experience in recovery of SQL, Oracle, Exchange, AS400, VM servers and DB2 o Understanding of NDMP, VTL, SAN Media servers, file storage and Duplication options. o Maintain all equipment for backup environment to include servers, disk, repository and tape library and storage devices. o Should have experience in Installing /Removing Updates o Should have experience Analyze and handle complex incidents and major incidents and promptly provide solutions o Handle complex changes across the production o Work with teams internal/external teams, vendors and all relevant stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery o Maintain the platform to the highest standard and ensure 24x7 support o Excellent Communication Skills, ITIL Process , Ticketing Management, Customer handling o Relevant certifications will be an added advantage.
