Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Unix/Linux Administrator (L2) to manage and optimize Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8 & 9) environments hosted on Microsoft Azure. This role requires deep expertise in automation, patch management, identity services, and vulnerability remediation to ensure system reliability, security, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: o Administer and manage RHEL 8/9 servers in Microsoft Azure, including provisioning, configuration, performance tuning, and lifecycle management. o Perform patch and lifecycle management using Red Hat Satellite, ensuring system compliance. o Design and implement automation workflows using Red Hat Ansible, including playbooks, roles, and CI/CD pipelines. o Manage and maintain Red Hat Identity Management (IdM) and centralized authentication. o Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Unix Bind DNS services. o Manage JSCPAE (SFTP/FTP) file share services for secure and compliant data transfers. o Conduct vulnerability management: assessment, reporting, and remediation planning. o Collaborate with security, cloud, and operations teams to align with organizational compliance standards. o Provide incident management, root cause analysis, and advanced troubleshooting support in a 24x7 environment. o Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives. Technical Experience: o 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) administration. o Strong expertise with Red Hat Satellite for patching and subscription management. o Advanced Ansible automation skills: playbook creation, orchestration, and CI/CD integration. o In-depth knowledge of Red Hat IdM/LDAP for access and authentication management. o Experience managing DNS (Bind) and secure file transfer services (JSCPAE, SFTP/FTP). o Proficiency in Azure administration: VM management, VNets, NSGs, Azure Monitor, Backup, and Recovery Vault. o Solid understanding of vulnerability management tools and processes. o Advanced troubleshooting of Linux performance, networking (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls), and incident resolution. o Shell scripting (Bash) or equivalent scripting experience for automation and operational efficiencies. Professional Attributes o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with focus on root cause analysis. o Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. o Effective collaboration and documentation skills. o Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts with on-call responsibilities. Educational Qualification: UG: BCA in Computers, BSc in Any Specialization, BTech/BE in Any Specialization Preferred certifications o Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) o Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) o Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Additional Information Experience with Azure-native tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup, Recovery Vault) is a plus. Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2) is advantageous.
