Application Observability Specialist

Location: Bangalore (Whitefield) or Chennai (Siruseri) or Pune (Talawade) or Mumbai (Airoli (West).

Digital Applications Maintenance, Transformation and Monitoring

We are seeking a hands-on Application Maintenance, Transformation and Monitoring Expert to design and implement observability solutions focused on application performance, reliability, and proactive failure detection. This role involves leveraging a mix of commercial APMs and open-source/cloud-native tools to build scalable, intelligent observability frameworks that support self-healing and deep application insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement observability for microservices, APIs, and distributed applications Instrument applications using OpenTelemetry, SDKs, and APM agents Build dashboards, alerts, and SLOs using tools like Grafana, Kibana, Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic Develop custom plugins, telemetry pipelines, and self-healing automation Assess client observability maturity and implement improvements using OSS and commercial tools Create reusable observability components and accelerators as internal IP

Must-Have Skills:

Strong experience in application instrumentation (Java, .NET, Node.js, Python) Deep understanding of logs, traces, metrics, and event correlation Hands-on with APM tools (Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic) and OSS stacks (Prometheus, ELK, Jaeger, Grafana) Familiarity with distributed tracing, SLO/SLI design, and telemetry pipelines Ability to build or extend observability solutions, not just configure them
