Summary: As an Application Lead, you will lead the effort to design, build, and configure applications, acting as the primary point of contact. Your typical day will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure that application development aligns with organizational goals, addressing any challenges that arise, and facilitating communication among stakeholders to drive project success. You will also oversee the implementation of best practices in application development, ensuring that the team adheres to established standards and methodologies while fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation. Roles & Responsibilities: - Expected to perform independently and become an SME. - System Design & Troubleshooting: Designs moderately complex systems and resolves production issues independently. - CI/CD Pipelines: Builds and maintains deployment pipelines. - Incident Management: Contributes actively in incident response, performs root cause analysis, and drives postmortem actions (SLI creation / self-healing processes). - Monitoring & Observability: Designs and implements monitoring strategies; uses metrics, logs, and traces effectively. - Performance Tuning: Identifies and resolves performance bottlenecks. - Capacity & Availability Planning: Contributes to planning for scalability and uptime. - Security Best Practices: Advises on security principles in system design and operations. Mentorship: Supports junior engineers through code reviews and guidance. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in DevOps. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools. - Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. - Understanding of cloud services and infrastructure management. - Experience with scripting languages for automation tasks. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in DevOps. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
