Job Title: MECM/SCCM L2 Support Engineer Location: Bangalore, India. Experience: 5-6 Years Management level: CL10 Job Type: Full-Time Work Mode: Hybrid Job Summary: The MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) / SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) L2 Support Engineer will be responsible for providing second-level support for endpoint management systems, including patch management, software distribution, and compliance reporting. The role involves working closely with L1 support, IT operations, and security teams to ensure a stable and secure end-user computing environment. Key Responsibilities: o Provide L2 support for MECM/SCCM-related issues, including troubleshooting client and server-side problems. o Monitor and manage software deployments, patch compliance, and system updates. o Support monthly patching cycles (WSUS integration, SUP, ADR, maintenance windows). o Assist with application packaging and deployment using SCCM. o Perform client health checks and remediation for non-compliant systems. o Monitor SCCM infrastructure and perform basic administration tasks. o Manage collections, task sequences, and operating system deployment (OSD) processes. o Generate and analyze reports (via SSRS or Power BI) for patching, compliance, and inventory. o Work on incident, problem, and change management processes (ITIL-based). o Collaborate with vendors and cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues Technical Skills Required: o Strong experience in MECM/SCCM administration and support. o Good knowledge of Windows Server and Windows OS (7, 10, 11). o Application packaging tools (MSI, PowerShell, VBScript) knowledge is an advantage. o Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and WSUS. o Understanding of Patch Management Lifecycle and Security Baselines. o Scripting knowledge (PowerShell preferred). o Experience with remote tools (CM Remote Tools, RDP, etc.). o Reporting experience with SCCM reports and/or Power BI. o Windows server administration and patch management. Soft Skills: o Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. o Excellent communication and documentation skills. o Ability to work independently and within a team. o Customer-focused with a proactive mindset. Certifications (Preferred but not mandatory): o Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate o ITIL Foundation Certification o CompTIA A+ / Network+ / Security+ (optional)
