Job Summary:
This position operates within the WI Treatment segment and is responsible for developing the technical and commercial development of Xylem's water treatment solutions offerings, with a specific focus on aeration and blower technologies sometimes combined with mixing in biological processes. The role collaborates closely with the WI Treatment Sales Team to promote, size, and support technical solutions related to the Sanitaire (aeration, Turbomax blowers, Taron) brand sometimes in combination with other Xylem brands such as Flygt (mixers) brands, contributing to the expansion of the customer base across the industrial and municipal utility markets, both through retention and development of new business opportunities.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:Responsible for technical and commercial aspects for Sanitaire/Biological treatment enquiries.
Prepare complete and accurate technical and commercial proposals, including technical offer documents, in line with customer needs and Xylem's commercial strategy. Proposals are developed in cooperation with the European and Emerging Markets Sales Force and shared through dedicated internal platforms
Actively develop new business opportunities through prospecting and qualification of leads throughout Europe and Emerging markets, contributing to organic growth in both industrial and utility markets
Provide technical and application consultancy to the sales team, identifying optimal, sustainable, and competitive solutions for client needs in primary and secondary water treatment, with a focus on aeration, blowers, and advanced filtration technologies, sometimes in combination with mixing technologies.
Analyze and manage the sales funnel, qualifying opportunities and supporting offer development based on the technical and economic value for the company
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting awareness of Sanitaire and Flygt solutions and contributing to their technical and commercial market positioning
Identify strategic growth opportunities, collaborating with management to develop action plans aligned with key vertical markets
Use technical selection and sizing software (aeration, blowers, mixing, filtration) to define and configure the best technical-commercial proposal for each application
Review of client specifications to ensure designs produced in accordance with client requirements and internal capabilities.
To study the tender documents and preparation of proposal/Bid document as per requirement, correspondence with EPC/Consultant/End user to get clarity on various submittals.
Preparation of Costing sheets and cost optimization.
Facilitate technical alignment with European and Emerging Markets Centres of Excellence and manufacturing facilities, ensuring correct transfer of technical specifications, forecasts, and market needs
Lead or participate in kick-off meetings with the Manager and department colleagues to ensure proper information flow toward the Project Management team, preventing delays and aligning with customer expectations
Continuously develop and update technical knowledge, supporting the value proposition of both new and existing products, including the creation of technical materials and presentations
Participate in industry events (exhibitions, workshops, seminars, conferences), also as a speaker, to support brand positioning and technical promotion, in cooperation with the Marketing team and colleagues
Coordinate regularly with Product Managers from the Growth Centers for updates on product innovation, market feedback, and forecast alignment through monthly calls or structured meetings
Ensure compliance with Xylem's internal procedures (e.g., DOA - Delegation of Authority) related to profitability, pricing, compliance, and offer management
Participate in local and regional Corporate Social Responsibility (Watermark) activities
To undertake any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs.
To highlight the deviation/ambiguities among tender document, proposal document and applicable standards and codes

Key Competencies:
Must Have:Thorough knowledge of water and wastewater system design. Indepth knowledge of European practices/standards, WEF/Regional Manuals, relevant codes and standards.
In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, particularly wastewater treatment with strong technical writing and presentation skills.
Strong understanding of biological secondary treatment technologies
Good understanding of other engineering disciplines related to biological oxidation products in order to effectively interface with other product specialists

Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:
Required Qualifications:Batchelors/Master's Degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline. Examples: Environmental Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
Proven experience in design and process aspects related to environmental/sanitary/wastewater engineering
Preferred Qualifications:Masters degree in environmental engineering
Soft Skills:Strong communication, reasoning, and presentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a structured multinational environment
Excellent time management and prioritization skills
Fluent in spoken and written English (other languages an advantage)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
