Technical Application & Selection

Review customer

datasheets, P&IDs, RFQs, and specifications

. Select appropriate

valve types

(gate, globe, ball, butterfly, check, control valves) and

actuators

(pneumatic, electric, hydraulic). Perform

valve sizing and actuator torque/thrust calculations

. Recommend suitable

materials, trims, sealing, and accessories

based on process conditions. Ensure compliance with

API, ASME, ISO, IEC, CE, ATEX, SIL

and project specifications.
Proposal & Sales Support

Prepare

technical offers

, deviations, and compliance statements. Support sales team during

techno-commercial discussions

and customer meetings. Clarify technical queries during tendering and order execution stages. Participate in

technical bid evaluations

and pre-bid meetings.
Engineering & Project Support

Coordinate with

design, production, quality, and procurement teams

for order execution. Review and approve

GA drawings, actuator sizing sheets, and BOMs

. Support FAT, SAT, and customer inspections. Resolve technical issues during manufacturing, testing, and commissioning.
Customer Support

Provide

pre-sales and post-sales technical support

. Assist customers during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Conduct product presentations and technical training for customers and internal teams. Support root cause analysis for field failures and recommend corrective actions.
Documentation & Standards

Prepare and review

technical documentation

such as datasheets, IOM manuals, test procedures, and QAPs. Ensure all documents meet customer and regulatory requirements. Keep updated with latest industry standards and technology developments.
Key Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of

industrial valves and actuators

. Proficiency in

valve sizing, actuator torque calculations, and control valve selection

. Ability to read and interpret

P&IDs, process datasheets, and engineering drawings

. Understanding of

process engineering

(flow, pressure, temperature, media characteristics). Familiarity with

control systems and accessories

(positioners, solenoid valves, limit switches). Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical / Instrumentation / Chemical Engineering

. 3-7 years of experience in

valves, actuators, or process equipment industries

. Exposure to

oil & gas, power, chemical, petrochemical, water, or pharma

industries preferred.
Tools & Software

Valve sizing software (e.g.,

IEC/ISA sizing tools

) AutoCAD (basic understanding) MS Office ERP/CRM systems
Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Accuracy of valve and actuator selection Timely submission of technical offers Reduction in technical deviations and rework Customer satisfaction and technical acceptance rate Support in winning orders
