What You'll Do

As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for working jointly with the US and Bengaluru based enterprise applications and operations teams and our outsourced partners to deliver scalable core technical solutions for our finance applications.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director/Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications.

Responsibility

Work with a cross-functional team to develop application extensions, integrations, workflows, custom forms, and data conversions using development tools including, but not limited to, SQL, Groovy, Java, PLSQL, VBCS, Python, REST, APIs, SOAP, OTBI, FBDI, VB Scripts, BI Publisher and other languages/scripting Prototype technical and AI solutions to assess feasibility and to determine the most viable product Explore industry best practices to inform solution development Assist in preparing the business and system flows, functional design and technical design documentation, product demos, module configurations, development of BIP reports Create, enhance, and maintain complex SQL-based reports, infotiles and dashboards for real-time data analytics for management Define test scenarios, perform unit and system tests, and document results Analyze issues, perform root cause, develop permanent code /configuration fixes, tuning Develop and maintain technical documentation for enhancements, configurations and system bugs Support the development , testing and implementation of APIs and other interfaces for seamless system communication Learn and adapt to new technologies continuously, especially AI capabilities and industry trends, and apply them to the platform, where feasible Collaborate with other IDC Enterprise Applications team members to ensure timely delivery of cross-team initiatives Manage the Jira backlog, ServiceNow tickets and manage the backlog. Highlight key issues, risks, and mitigation plans on a timely basis Aid in regular system maintenance, including module updates, patching, and system upgrades Research industry trends and emerging technologies in software development and ERP solutions

Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What You Bring

Basic

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field experience Proficiency in programming languages including C#, SQL, PL/SQL, and Python Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail Exposure and some experience on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Agenting tools Proficient in Excel Macros/ Google Sheets and Powerpoint/ Google Slides

Preferred

Hands on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Python, and JavaScript, Groovy Scripting VBCS, REST, APIs, SOAP, OTBI, FBDI, VB Scripts, BI Publisher for data management, scripting, and customization within the ERP system or other application Framework Experience in building custom reports, infotiles and dashboards using complex logic Experience with Jira and Confluence Exposure to ERP system concepts for Oracle Financials, Procurement, Project Accounting and Subscription Management Demonstrated interest in ERP systems through relevant coursework, certifications, or internships Proficient in Google Workspace and /or Microsoft Office Possess excellent analytical and communication abilities Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team Adept at multitasking and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
