To act as a technical liaison between the sales management and the Customer by analyzing customer requirements, conducting technical discussions and site visits, preparing accurate cost estimations, and assisting in the finalization of proposals and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Requirement Analysis:
Work closely with the sales team to understand customer needs and technical requirements.
Review customer specifications, drawings, and documents to assess feasibility.
Customer Interaction & Visits:
Participate in customer meetings and site visits to gather detailed project requirements.
Clarify technical queries and propose suitable solutions during discussions.
Technical Proposal & Estimation:
Prepare technical proposals in coordination with engineering and design teams.
Perform detailed costing and estimation for customer enquiries including material, labor, and overheads.
Optimize solutions considering both cost and customer satisfaction.
Documentation & Coordination:
Prepare and maintain project documentation including proposals, BOMs, costing sheets, and communication records.
Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Production, Procurement) to validate feasibility and costing.
Project Finalization:
Support the sales team during technical negotiations and clarifications with the customer.
Be actively involved in the finalization of technical and commercial aspects of the deal.
Post-Finalization Support:
Ensure smooth handover to the project execution team after order finalization.
Address any post-sale technical clarifications as needed.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Key Skills & Competencies:
Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in costing and estimation tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.)
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Customer-oriented mindset
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Willingness to travel for customer visits and site assessments
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in [specific industry, e.g., manufacturing, automation, capital equipment]
Familiarity with CRM and ERP software
Prior customer-facing experience
